LETTER OF THE DAY - Jamaica needs new leadership
THE EDITOR, Sir:THE CONTINUED and worsening crime scourge across the length and breadth of Jamaica seems to have finally struck the chord of many. The recent murders of four prominent businessmen, L.G Brown, Dr. Benjamin, Maurice Azan and Lloyd Phang...

Arming nation not the answer
THE EDITOR, Sir: I HAVE often been impressed with the writings of the Opposition Spokesman on Justice, Delroy Chuck. Indeed, I think he an erudite jurists who seems to do his 'homework' before committing his thoughts to print.

Enough is enough
THE EDITOR, Sir: THE WORLD Bank released data recently, informing us that in the last decade (1994-2004) Jamaica experienced 10,752 murders, a number which the island should not be proud about, especially the Government and its Ministry of Security.

Credit rating
THE EDITOR, Sir:FIRST I would like to thank Mr. Paulwell for increasing the cost of phone calls to Jamaica. I hope that the money goes to education and will not be diverted to some other 'Government purpose'.
