Colm Delves is new Digicel CEO
published: Wednesday | June 22, 2005

FORMER DIGICEL Group chief financial officer Colm Delves was yesterday appointed the group's chief executive officer.

Donal O'Shaughnessy, former chief executive of Digicel Aruba, will assume the post of group chief operating officer.

The changes follow the departure of Raul Fontanez as Group chief executive officer earlier this month.

Denis O'Brien, chairman of Digicel said, "Colm has a proven track record and expertise that is necessary to continue our vision of offering cutting-edge telecommuni-cations services to consumers and businesses throughout the entire Caribbean region."

A chartered accountant, Mr. Delves had acted in the position vacated by Mr. Fontanez immediately after his departure.

"Our focus is the same - to create a seamless Pan-Caribbean network," Digicel's corporate communications manager Maureen Rabbit said yesterday. "Colm will be driving that mission."
