CAMPION'S THEON O'Connor, Holmwood's Schillonie Calvert and St. Jago's Natasha Ruddock head a 24-member Jamaica team selected by the Jamaica Amateur Athletics Association (JAAA) for the fourth IAAF World Youth Championships in Marrakesh, Morocco.
O'Connor, the 2005 CARIFTA Games Austin Sealey award winner, heads the 12 boys, while Calvert, a World Junior bronze medallist, and Ruddock, a three-time CARIFTA Games Under-17 100m hurdles winner, heads the 12 girls.
Sprinter Calvert and sprint hurdler Ruddock are bronze medals favourites in their respective event.
At the last World Youth Championships in Sherbrooke, Canada, Jamaica - led by Usain Bolt and Anneisha McLaughlin - won four medals.
Bolt and McLaughlin won gold medals in the 200m for boys and girls, respectively. Lotaya Greaves and the girls' medley team won silver medals.
