Bog Walk gorge still closed
published: Sunday | July 17, 2005

THE NATIONAL Works Agency is advising motorists that the Bog Walk gorge in St. Catherine is still closed to vehicular traffic. NWA's Acting Communication and Customer Service Manager, Petra-kene Williams says the Works Agency has received reports that unscrupulous individuals have been charging motorists to use the corridor.

She is, however, advising motorists not to use the Bog Walk gorge, as full reinstatement of the roadway is incomplete. Motorists should continue to use the alternative routes Barry or Sligoville.

Meanwhile, Ms. Williams says reports of blocked roads, landslips or flooding may be made to 968-0621, 926-5831, 383-1743 or 383-1744. The centre will be opened 24 hours until tomorrow.
