Women's march, good idea
published: Tuesday | July 26, 2005

THE EDITOR, Sir:

I WRITE in support of the idea and plans for a million women march to protest against crime and violence in our land. I do hope as many of us as possible will participate in this effort to return this country to being a safe and delightful place.

I congratulate those ladies who are willing to be seen and heard publicly articulating disgust and disdain for the troubling state of this nation.

However, whatever strategy we employ, we must look to the hills, from whence comes our help. Our help comes from the Lord (Ps. 121:2). It is obvious, only divine intervention can bring about a positive change to the decadent, violent and corrupt condition of Jamaica land we love.

Ladies, planners and participators, let us not wait until August 1, 2005 (the date of the march). Right now let us vow to obey God's commands and make our resolve to keep our vows assisted by His grace, enjoying a good relationship with our Heavenly Father, then we continue to pray and watch Him change this nation by His miracle working power. Righteousness exalteth a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people, Prov. 14:34 The leaders and people of the Fiji islands will testify to this.

I am, etc.,

MRS. M. E. LOVE
