All-rounder Dunka stuns Cornwall North

ELTHAM'S ROMEO Dunka produced a good all-round performance for Middlesex South as they beat defending champions Cornwall North by 10 wickets in Wednesday's opening round of the Kingston Wharves National Under-15 competition at Jamaica Broilers.

Dunka first took 5-22 to help dismiss Cornwall North for 54. Oshane Walker and Oshane Baugh took three and two wickets respectively.

In reply, Dunka and Dwayne Bennett scored 21 each in an opening stand of 55.

Elsewhere, Middlesex North defeated Surrey North by 22 runs at Prison Oval.

Middlesex first made 108 with John Campbell getting a top score of 11. Narry Berry took 3-14 and Obrian Palmer 2-21.

Surrey North were dismissed for 86, despite a top score of 35 from Junior Ennis. Marlon Morgan did the damage by taking 5-38. He was supported by Damion Wright 3-4 and Takin Lowe 2-14.

In the day's other match, Cornwall South 152 (Sheldon Samuels 50; Mario Downer 4-21) beat Surrey South 143 (Jerome Hamilton 57) by nine runs.
