Watchman freed of rape
A WATCHMAN who was accused of raping a 92-year-old woman at the back of the St. Ann's Bay courthouse, St. Ann, was freed by a Home Circuit Court jury last week. The incident was alleged to have occurred at 4:00 a.m. on October 10, 2002.

Man loses murder appeal
THE COURT of Appeal has dismissed the appeal of Brenton Harris, 35-year-old upholsterer of Lime Tree Grove, Spanish Town, St. Catherine, who was convicted of murder. Harris will now have to serve a sentence of life imprisonment.
