MISS JAMAICA World 2005 will win a brand new Mini Cooper convertible motor car as part of her prize package.
The car, valued at $2 million, is made available courtesy of Sterling Motors Limited.
The prize car was introduced to the competition by John Crosby in 1994 while he was general manager of ATL Motors. Mr Crosby died in 2003, shortly after MJW 2003 Jade Fulford received her car prize. Unfortunately, the 2004 winner Tonoya Toyloy is the only Miss Jamaica World who has not won a motor car.
Tonoya, however, received a scholarship valued at $1 million in lieu of the vehicle.
Other major prizes to be won by the MJW 2005 are a trip to Sanya, China, in November to represent Jamaica at the Miss World contest, a $100,000 cash award from Jergens and the Miss World wardrobe, valued at over $100,000. The wardrobe will be contributed by Uzuri, Bling Bling and Training Camp, among others.
