Bank of Jamaica restructures

THE BANK of Jamaica has promoted Mrs. Audrey Anderson to the post of senior deputy governor. She was the former deputy governor for the Financial Institutions Supervisory Division.

Mrs. Myrtle Halsall has been appointed acting deputy governor, Banking & Market Operations and Research & Economic Programming Divisions. She was the chief for the Research & Economic Programming Division.

And Mrs. Gayon Hosin is the acting deputy governor, Financial Institutions Supervisory Division. She had been the division chief, Financial Institutions Supervisory Division.

Minister of Finance and Planning, Dr. Omar Davies made the appointments effective from May 1 of this year, the finance ministry stated in a release yesterday. The appointments followed the appointment of Mr. Colin Bullock, former Deputy Governor, as Financial Secretary on May 1, 2005.

The acting appointments will be reviewed after six months.
