Congrats, Terri-Karelle!
published: Wednesday | September 14, 2005

THE EDITOR, Sir:

MANY OF us overseas who were able to follow the local pageant were unanimous on one thing: Terri-Karelle Griffith, newly crowned Miss Jamaica World 2005, was a great choice!

She appeared consistently confident, charming and very articulate. Once again, Jamaica has a Miss Jamaica with huge potential. She has an edge, a winning edge, and we believe she will be a wonderful ambassador for Jamaica; watch her blaze a trail and shine locally and internationally.

Her sense of purpose, charisma and bubbly personality, added to her physical beauty and poise, will without doubt turn heads in China later this year at the Miss World pageant. In these difficult times, it's refreshing to see outstanding young Jamaicans such as Terri Karelle as role models, beaming with beauty, pride and purpose. Already, we are excited by the choice and the prospects. Without a doubt, she will represent Jamaica with much pride.

Another great choice and a popular winner, we congratulate Ms. Griffith and wish her all the best for an amazing year filled with wonderful experiences!

I am, etc.,

P. CHIN
