LETTER OF THE DAY - Time to monitor carrying of guns!
THE EDITOR, Sir: POLICE PAY and all that aside. Is it beyond the political will or competence of this Government to stop the carrying of guns by whoever feels the need to without a licence?
Be captain, Mr Mayor
THE EDITOR, Sir: I SAW the Mayor of Kingston and St. Andrew running around behind wreckers and disabled cars and trucks. Tell me, doesn't he have more important things to do? This Mayor is a news hog, he is always in the news.
Respect the young people
THE EDITOR, Sir: I READ with a sense of sadness, deja vu, and empathy the incident where a young lady has been expelled from the Ocho Rios High School because of a hemline.
Kids live what they learn
THE EDITOR, Sir:I WAS not present at the Ocho Rios High School and did not witness the incident between the student and the headmistress. Whatever transpired it is clear that both the headmistress and the student assaulted each other.
Are these men the best?
THE EDITOR, Sir:IT SEEMS that Dr. Peter Phillips is positioned to replace Mr. Patterson as the next Prime Minister. Dr Phillips has failed Jamaica miserably as security minister, yet we believe he'll make an outstanding Prime Minister.
