Family Church on the Rock celebrates 21 years
published: Sunday | October 16, 2005

FAMILY CHURCH on the Rock has come of age, as it celebrates its 21st anniversary, this October. Over the years, the church grew in stature and has spread its wings islandwide from Kingston, into Montego Bay, through Ocho Rios, St. Ann, to Santoy in Hanover and west Kingston.

Aquilla Wilkins-Nash, a prophetess from Longview, Texas will be the main speaker at the anniversary service at the sanctuary located at Clifton Drive, Cassava Piece, St. Andrew at 9:00 a.m. and 6 p.m., Sunday, October 23.

The prophetess is the most appropriate speaker-choice as she was there at the very beginning when pioneer David Keane identified land for the Family Church on the Rock headquarters. Looking at the rugged hillside, the prophetess declared that God will do a mighty work on the property.

Today, twenty-one years later, Family Church on the Rock is blessed with a beautiful sanctuary, an amphitheatre, two general facility buildings and manicured landscape which brings it all together. Two services on a Sunday morning, Wednesday evening prayer and family worship and a large number of care groups ensure that the congregation and residents in the surrounding communities are exposed to the word of God and His goodwill on a regular basis.

Aquilla Wilkins-Nash is a frequent speaker for churches, retreats, and conventions worldwide. Her television appearances include the 700 Club with Pat Robertson; Trinity Broadcasting Network with Paul and Jan Crouch and Calling Dr. Whitaker with the late Dr. Donald Whitaker.
