MR. JUSTICE Paul Theodore Harrison will be sworn in as the next president of the Court of Appeal early next month.

Mr. Justice Harrison, who was, on National Heroes Day, presented with the Order of Distinction for his service to the field of law, will replace Justice Ian Forte, the outgoing president of the Court of Appeal.

Now 68 years old, Mr. Justice Harrison currently presides on the Court of Appeal bench. Of the award presented to him on Monday, he said, "It feels good to know that I'm being honoured for the work that I am involved in and it is something that I accept graciously."

After dedicating 31 years to the bench, Justice Harrison is now at the pinnacle of his career. He is only expected to serve as president of the Court of Appeal for two years, as he had already indicated that he would retire at age 70.
