JAMAICAN ART DIARY

'Emerge', a joint exhibition by ceramic artist David Pinto and painter Fiona Godfrey, continues at the Doctor's Cave Bathing Club in Montego Bay, St. James, today from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and tomorrow (November 28 ) from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

'Celebrating Jamaica'

The annual 'Celebrating Jamaica' series of art shows at Devon House in St. Andrew is scheduled to open on November 28 and run through to December 30.

Andy Ballentine's web site

On December 2, artist Andy Ballentine will officially launch his web site and a one-day exhibition of works at Gallery Pegasus at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel in New Kingston, starting at 6:30 p.m. Guest speaker: Fitz Jackson, State Minister in the Ministry of Finance and Planning. The site at www.andyballentine.com will feature over 30 of the artist's works.

Christmas fair

Grosvenor Galleries, 1 Grosvenor Terrace, St. Andrew, announces its 2005 Christmas art and craft fair, scheduled for December 10-11. Unusual art, jewellery, antiques, curios, clothing, decorations, plants, pottery, woodwork, gift baskets, candles and aromatherapy products will make unique gifts.
