THE EDITOR, Sir:
THE AMERICANS have no justification for violating another country's territory and sovereignty. Americans should not be allowed to just enter and bomb another country and then use war on terrorism as the excuse because no other country could do the same.
If there are terrorists in Pakistan, then the Americans should seek permission from the Pakistani government to launch an air strike.
UNAVOIDABLE CASUALTIES
Is it right for the Americans to violate another country's territory? Well, the Americans like Secretary of State Rice and Senator John McCain, seem to think it is perfectly reasonable if it is in their best interest and if it involves some terrorist.
Senator McCain lamented the loss of life but said such casualties are unavoidable as Washington robustly pursues its 'war on terror.' It is easy for the senator and the secretary to say what they say because they are not the ones experiencing violation of their territory.
It is time for the world to speak out against the unapologetic and high-handed approach of the U.S. in breaching international laws and violating people's airspace. They need to be tried by the international war tribunal. But nothing they do is wrong, they can do the worst and get away with it, but nobody else can. This needs to change, somebody needs to speak out. I am speaking out.
I am, etc.,
