THE EDITOR, Sir:

THIS is to inform you that since writing to you complaining about the delay of the Government in making refunds of income tax due to tax payers, I have received a cheque from the Inland Revenue Department in settlement of the amount due to me.

While I am grateful that this matter has been eventually attended to, it is my opinion that the authorities need to demonstrate greater urgency in processing returns and responding to tax payers' enquiries and complaints. Thank you, Mr. Editor.
