TAURUS SPORTS Club are the 2005-2006 Portland Football Association's Under-15 champions following their 3-1 victory over Progressive.

In the final played at Carder Park last Saturday, Craig Smith scored a brace to carried Taurus to their second title in three seasons.

Jason Walker scored Taurus' third goal, which ensured they walked away with the Portland FA Under-15 Trophy and bragging rights.

Skeddron Fisher netted Progressive's lone goal to end the season as the top goalscorer with 15 strikes. He surpassed Taurus' Terrence Wilson who failed to add to his 14 goals in the final.

Taurus' 3-1 victory also helped them to finish the season as the most attacking team with 44 goals.

Walker and Smith are the main candidates for the MVP of the Final while the season's top goalscorer, Fisher, looks set to cop the preliminary round's top prize.

Six teams, Progressive, Manchioneal, Taurus, Stony Hill, Ujama and Milan, started the competition in November.

The teams played on a home-and-away basis over two months. Progressive topped the league with 25 points, the same as Manchioneal, who fell to second on goal difference.
