published: Saturday | February 11, 2006

WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS 200m silver medallist Christopher Williams won Wednesday's 60m dash at the Samsung EuroJump in Sweden.

Williams, the 200m silver medallist from the 2001 Edmonton World Outdoor Championships, took the race in 6.72 seconds.

It was Williams' second fastest run this season, following a 6.68 second-clocking, which makes him the fastest Jamaican indoors this season.

He had earlier clocked 6.81 seconds for fourth in heat 2
of the preliminary round to qualify as one of the fastest losers.

American Coby Miller who won heat one in 6.73, placed second behind Williams in the final in 6.76 seconds.

Meanwhile, Delloreen Ennis-London continues to find the going tough indoors. Ennis-London, the World Outdoor silver medallist over 100m hurdles, was third in the 60m hurdles in 8.13 seconds.

Home town girl Susanna Kallur (7.97) and Lolo Jones of United States (8.05) finished first and second respectively in the event.

In the 60m dash, Ennis-London finished fifth in 7.55 seconds. Kallur won in 7.32 seconds.
