Cricketers looking to impress nat'l coaches
published: Saturday | February 18, 2006

YOUNG CRICKETERS in the parish of Trelawny will have an opportunity to impress national coaches today at Bounty Hall.

The Jamaica Cricket Association (JCA) will be conducting the first of 12 parish talent identification sessions at Bounty Hall in Trelawny today, starting at 10:30 a.m.

National coaching director Jeffrey Dujon will lead a host of top coaches for the one-day event to the western parish.

The other coaches expected in Trelawny are Phillip Service, Jamaica's territorial development officer, and Andre Coley, along with a number of qualified coaches from the county of Cornwall.

A large turn-out of prospective cricketers under 15 years of age is expected at Bounty Hall.

All the aspirants will be given the chance to bat, bowl and field on a variety of top-class pitches with nets.

The session is open to the public.
