Information Technology (IT) and the fight against crime
ON JANUARY 3, 2006, a BBC report heralded Jamaica as the new 'murder capital of the world'. With over 1,600 people killed in 2005 (a rate of at least five people murdered per day) Jamaica stands as one of the most violent countries on Earth.

OUR VIEW: Crime, IT and Jamaica
INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY has been shown to revolutionise the operation of law enforcement agencies by reducing the amount of time security personnel spend on paperwork and increasing their time in investigating and solving crimes.

PROFILE: Dr. Timothy Stitt - From Ireland to Jamaica
BORN 1975 in Northern Ireland, Dr. Stitt was the second of two children. Tim grew up in Belfast, playing football (at one time he even considered football trials with Glasgow Rangers).

OUR SERVICES - Postgraduate diploma in information technology
THE POSTGRADUATE diploma in information technology is geared towards persons with a first degree in an unrelated field, but those who wish to switch career paths can apply.
