Swallowfield Examination Depot to collect fees by debit/credit card
published: Friday | February 24, 2006

EFFECTIVE MARCH 2, 2006 motorists will be able to pay motor vehicle fitness and driver's licence examination fees at the Swallowfield Examination Depot using a debit or credit card, providing a convenient alternative to paying these fees at Collectorates islandwide.

The implementation of a non-cash payment facility for the collection of fees is being introduced by the Tax Administration Directorate in partnership with the Ministry of Transport and Works through the Island Traffic Authority. This initiative is part of Tax Administration's programme to improve service and make paying taxes easier for the public and will be extended to the remaining Examination Depots located island wide in the upcoming financial year.

The facility to pay these fees at Collectorates islandwide continues. However, no cash payments will be accepted at the Swallowfield Examination Depot.

For further information please call 1-888-Tax-Help (1-888-829-4357) toll-free or visit our web site www.jamaicatax.gov.jm
