Andi Greene of the Jamaica Football Federation performs her winning medley of songs during the amateur night section of the Pegasus' media appreciation and top bookers party, held at Top Of The World, Pegasus Hotel, Knutsford Boulevard, New Kingston on Sunday, February 19.

IT WAS double the fun for guests at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel on Sunday; that is, if you were a top booker or media partner.
General manager Eldon Bremner revealed that usually the media and the top bookers have separate parties, but this year called for an amalgamation. So both groups, those who fill the ballrooms and those who report what happens in them, had the privilege of partaking in more Pegasus food and fare.
AMATEUR NIGHT
Now this was also an amateur night for the media personnel to show their stuff (or lack thereof). Those who weren't brave enough to take up the challenge couldn't wait to see who would take the microphone and awe us (or crack us up) with their talent.
Andi Greene of the Jamaica Football Federation (well, she does media stuff, just not for a media house) took the top prize with a medley of songs accompanied by storylines. Among her musical goodies were Don't Burn Your Bridges Behind You, When Will I See You Again and You Give Good Love. Interesting mix of songs we agree.
TOP PERFORMERS
The other top performers were Steve Smith of Music Plus who was second with his rendition of Unchained Melody and The Gleaner's own Susan Gordon who crooned Killing Me Softly to finish third. Tommy James delivered a creditable rendition of The Gambler while David Ebanks bounced his way through For Once In My Life, to place fourth and fifth respectively. The only comedian on the bill, Michael Edwards, didn't fare too well, but it was all fun.
Thankfully, there were professionals on this show as Dwight Richards and Friends shook the roof top. The singer/trumpeter did Signed, Sealed, Delivered, Everything I Own, Rebel In Me and a medley of gospel hits. The DJ then played some soothing Sunday music where the couples slow danced before heading home.
