published: Tuesday | March 21, 2006

TUFTON

OPPOSITION SENATOR, Dr. Christopher Tufton, has been selected to travel to Washington DC to participate in the annual Georgetown University Leader-ship Seminar. It is organised by the Edmond Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University between March 25 and March 30.

Senator Tufton will be one of 30 young leaders of industry, non-governmental organisations, and public policy, selected from different countries throughout the world, to participate in a week of activities involving presentations from researchers and policy-makers.

Among the themes to be addressed this year include the United States foreign policy process, global economic issues, global human condition and energy and the environment.

Senator Tufton's participation is being funded by USAID and the U.S. embassy.
