COMPRESSED GANJA with a street value of more than $11 million was seized by the narcotics police during separate operations in Kingston between Wednesday and Thursday afternoon.
Head of the Narcotics Division, Senior Superintendent Carlton Wilson, said the container they seized on Thursday at the Kingston Port, was stripped on Thursday and ganja weighing 2,010 pounds was discovered packed in the flooring.

Reports are that the container was on its way to an exporter when it was searched.
"We will be questioning a number of persons," said SSP Wilson.
In another incident, several buckets of ganja, weighing more than 775 pounds, were seized during a sting operation in Bull Bay, St. Andrew, Thursday morning.
According to the police, two vehicles were intercepted in the Bull Bay area and, during a search, the drug was found. Both drivers of the vehicles were arrested. They have been identified as Fitzroy Robinson and Donovan Drummond, alias "Nuffy". They are expected to appear in the Corporate Area Criminal Court next week.
