Jago pound Muschette High
published: Wednesday | April 5, 2006

ST. JAGO High became the third team to book their place in the Under-19 semi-finals of the KFC/ISSA All-Island national basketball championships when they pounded the Western Conference's top team, Muschette High, 53-35 at G.C Foster College yesterday.

Once again it was big man Adrian Forbes who led the way for the St. Catherine team as he grabbed 21 points and 13 rebounds to see his team through to the next round.

Muschette's on-court general, Jermaine Grey, could have used some help from his teammates as he had 22 points in a losing effort - 63 per cent of his team's points. St Jago will now face a tough task when they take on a red-hot Old Harbour, who easily disposed of Jamaica College and Port Antonio by an average of 30 points en route to easily topping Zone D.

In the day's other encounter, the long-awaited game between Jamaica College and Southern Conference champions St. Catherine was once again put off due to inclement weather. The winner of that game will take on Southern Conference runners-up Wolmer's in the other semi.
