"Princess Cruises would like to express our sincere gratitude to the Government and people of Jamaica who so readily and graciously came to our assistance during the recent tragic fire onboard the Star Princess.
Your spur to action and willingness to help with all our needs and those of our passengers and crew during our recovery efforts shows the character of the Jamaican people and made our job much easier.
With the efforts and assistance of the Ministry of Tourism, Jamaica Tourist Board, Jamaica Hotel and Tourist Association, Jamaica Defence Force, Jamaica Constabulary Force, Port Authority of Jamaica, Cornwall Regional Hospital, World Tours, Jamaica Taxi Association., our agents, Lannaman & Morris Shipping and individuals and companies too numerous to name, we managed to disembark our passengers and take the ship out of Jamaica with little disruption.
Sincere thanks to everyone who came to our assistance.
