published: Friday | April 21, 2006

LES CLEFS d'Or USA announced a series of training classes to be provided to concierges in Jamaica. The class, Les Clef d'Or USA, is sponsored by Caribbean Escapes and other luxury travel partners in the Caribbean.

It includes exciting presentations by founding member of Les Clef d'Or USA and internationally renowned service expert Marjorie Silverman, chef, Concierge Hotel Intercontinental Chicago and past president Union Internationale des Concierges d'Hotels, Les Clefs d'Or.

The training is provided at no charge to individuals functioning as concierges.

"The U.S. board of directors are excited to be able to share their knowledge and experience with our Caribbean colleagues. It is an exciting joint venture. We plan to make a difference in service standards," said Shujaat Khan, President, of Les Clefs d'Or USA.

WONDERFUL OPPORTUNITY

In Jamaica, the schedule is April 24-27, in Negril, Montego Bay, Ocho Rios, and Kingston, respectively. Hosted in Negril by Beaches Sandy Bay, Warren Cohen, senior VP of marketing and sales development said: "This is a wonderful opportunity for us. We believe that service is what keeps our customers coming back, so we are delighted to host the Negril area training. I am sure that our staff as well as others who attend will gain a wealth of information that is simply priceless."

Half Moon Resort and Sunset Jamaica Grande will host their local training; the Kingston location is to be announced.
