Caption correction

THE EDITOR, Sir:

I wish to point to an inaccuracy which appeared in The Gleaner of Monday April 18, 2006, page A3. The error in the caption of a photograph of former U.S. President, Bill Clinton and his wife Senator Hilary Rodham Clinton and others being at the Boscobel Aerodrome in "Ocho Rios, St. Ann". I wish to point out - as a native of St. Mary - Boscobel and the aerodrome are in fact in St. Mary. Ocho Rios is in St. Ann; Boscobel is some ten miles (16 kilometers) east of Ocho Rios. The border of these two parishes (on the coast) is White River, therefore, all places east thereof is St. Mary.

Two good markers of this boundary are: Shaw Park Hotel on the western side of the White River

is in St. Ann and San Souci Hotel on the eastern side of White River is in St. Mary, as is Couples and the others, all the way up to Oracabessa and beyond.
