Hypocrisy
published: Wednesday | May 3, 2006

THE EDITOR, Sir:

I AM A Jamaican living abroad. Concerning religion and politics, my position is that religion is responsible for most if not all of the problems, not only in Jamaica, but in the whole wide world. Religion in any form is basically a traditional belief transmitted to every new generation.

It was man who created gods in his ignorance and fear. Previous gods like the Sun/Moon Odin, Zeus and various animals, have been discarded in the dust of time, so too will Allah, God, Jesus and all others of that concept. The future will prove atheists correct. Man seeks knowledge and discards untruths on attaining it.

I am, etc.,
