Where are you Charles Wynter?
published: Friday | May 19, 2006

THE EDITOR, Sir:

I am the very proud mother of a 16-year-old son whose father has been living in New York, USA for the last 9 years. Our son said to me a few months back "Mommy, I don't know what it is to have a father, I don't know how to say 'daddy'." I just said to him that some fathers do not see it necessary to have their children around them while they are growing up, but mark my word, when you get to be an adult, he sure would. He said to me, "mommy, I tell my friends at school that you are my mother and father, but there are a lot of boys at my school like me."

His father's name is Charles Wynter, pet name Peter, and has been living in New York since he migrated to the USA. He also had a sister in New York who died a little over a year now and her name was Juliette Wynter. I don't have an address for him nor a phone number. Our son is currently sitting his CXC exams and so will be graduating soon.

I am a trying woman and nothing can ever stop me. I want to see my children in much better positions when they reach adulthood, than I am now. Please I need your help.

I am, etc.,

Single mother
