MY DEARS, strike a pose, there's nothing to it!
Because, it's time again for Caribbean Fashionweek (CFW)!
And so it is my dears, that amidst the glitz and glamour associated with Jamaica's premier international fashion event, the sixth staging of the Pulse-founded and presented annual CFW kicked off in style last night at the Pulse complex, 38A Trafalgar Road, in New Kingston.
Daahlings, y'all can expect a weekend of simply fabulous partying and barrel loads of fun as the international fashion crowd have jetted in from the fashion centres of the world for this fabulously acclaimed event!
And so my dears, not only do we strike a pose - by putting our best foot forward - we will all sashay our way into the international annals of fabdom with some of our finest models and designers from the region and beyond as we showcase our best talent in designers and models. We will also combine our fab sense of hospitality as we host fashion's leading arbiters over this weekend.
And, my daahlings, with many parties already on the roster, y'all can expect one rollicking fab time and nothing but, so more anon!
And whilst Kingsley Cooper and his Pulse team were busy welcoming the world to Kingston, last night, the fabulous and always stylish Valerie Juggan-Brown, she being the GM of the 6,000 strong Guardsman Group of Companies, opted for a quiet dinner with hubby Ron Brown, on the occasion of her birthday. Today however, the partying will begin in full swing, at the Guardsman Corporate headquarters as family, friends and colleagues will host the affable Mrs. Juggan-Brown to a celebratory splash and then some!
On Sunday, however, it was art dealer and artist, the lovely Jacquelynne Hussey-Pearson, who was marking her special day with an especial celebration, as the fabulous Mrs. Pearson made it a family affair and nothing but, as she celebrated her birthday!
MARITAL KNOT
No word yet on just when the fabulous Kathy Owen, will be tying the marital knot to her Spanish beau, but come this here Sunday, the former television and radio personality will be popping a few champagne corks to mark her birthday.
Last weekend, however, it was all about the elegant Maureen Shaw, wife of Opposition Spokesman on Finance, Audley Shaw, who marked her special day, with a very special outing with her girlfriends, and my word, how!
My daahlings, suffice it to say that not only was the fab lady serenaded, wined dined and lauded, honeys she was titillated as my dears, Hedonism III, over there near Salem and Runway Bay, was the destination of choice for the birthday celebrant and her coterie of friends. Luvs, partied they did, like there was nary a care in the whole world!
And my daahlings, to say it was one very hot outing, would probably still be an understatement but honeychiles, I kid y'all not, it was one sizzling affair and then some!
And speaking of Maureen Shaw and her fabulous friends, my dears, wait for it, as it has been some time in the making but is about to take Montego Bay by fabulous storm and not a minute too soon - as the elegant Joan Lee and the très hot and oh so beautiful April Parchment are all set to open the second city's Weddings and Events Place, an exciting new venture designed to offer Montagnais an haute-style and très chic place to host their fashionable events and then some!
Wait for it my daahlings, as it promises to be one fabulous location overlooking the city and with all the elan and grace both Joan Lee and partner April Parchment are known to take to their endeavours. So pumpkins, wait for it!
