"TIN MACKEREL and rice? I wish I didn't have to. Bully beef and bread? Can't wait for times to get back to normal." These are oft-repeated sentiments during a hurricane season.

June to November is a difficult time but we have to adapt and eat what we have. Food sought the assistance of Grace Kitchens and compiled a hurricane food list for you.

Most convenience foods, such as those in cans, have already been cooked and therefore only need reheating. This helps to save valuable time and energy. "The family needs creativity in foods and especially during a storm you don't want the monotony or the same mundane ways because you are indoors," said Angela Grandison of Grace Kitchens.
