Accurate indeed

THE EDITOR, Sir:
IT WAS a pleasure to read Heather Robinson's article 'Accuracy' where in part she commented on the human rights activists in Jamaica who are more concerned about preserving the rights of criminals/murderers more than they are of preserving the peace and stability of Jamaica.
From Toronto, I have watched in dismay as my beloved country became the murder capital of the western hemisphere while a first generation Jamaican, Carolyn Gomes and her cohorts, continue to undermine the work of Jamaica's crime fighters, under the pretext of human rights.
Ms. Robinson is a Jamaican whose moral authority on these matters cannot be questioned and I hope that she will continue to share her sensible perspective with Jamaicans and the agencies who are funding Gomes and her ridiculous crowd.
I am, etc.,
