THE EDITOR, Sir:
HOW BETTER can The Gleaner get? The Media of the Year Award for the 9th time - and consecutively - is well deserved. Team, you have justified it in your hard work and --dedication. Cliff Hughes, the Media Personality of the Year, there is no more room for improvement. The next move is to knock out a wall and expand the work. Well done, Sir. Jamaica and the world at large is showing appreciation through reading your paper.
Team work played a great part in this achievement and I must commend all of you for working together in such a committed approach. My hat goes off to everyone who contributes in ensuring that the final copy of The Gleaner reaches the consumer on time.
The editorial was a part of my daily school assignment. There were no exceptions, therefore, if The Gleaner was not in the home, you had to find it at the library. Now there is the online service. The Gleaner has been on par with technology. The online site is well-organised. The subject headings are eye-catching and appealing.
The Gleaner is not biased. It brings to you information from every walk of life. It is as if I never left home, because The Gleaner keeps me well-informed with everything, I mean everything, that goes on in Jamaica. I am proud to read my Gleaner first thing in the mornings. I am even more ecstatic to show my friends clippings from my Jamaican paper - The Gleaner. Go Jamaica Gleaner, you have made your readers swollen with humbleness.
