COURTS HAD their second win in five games on Saturday after
defeating Bank of Nova Scotia 'B' 19-13 in the Business House Netball Open League
competition at the Leila Robinson courts.
Though an unimpressive match, BNS started out on a high. They had the ball in their control and dominated the game despite keeping much of the action in their third. However, Courts soon found their momentum and took over, dominating the second half.
A large part of the bank team's problem had to do with their shooters. Operating with their goal attack as the lone shooter in the second half, the burden of scoring fell to Tanisha Hibbert.
Coach Winston Nevers says shooting led to his team's demise.
"We did not play well. I think the shooting let us down this evening. We just have to go to the training sessions and see how we can work it out, work towards the divisional league and see if we can come out the winner," he told The Gleaner.
The victorious coach, Audrey Edwards, didn't have much to say about her team's performance.
"(The game was) fairly good. The full team has played hard. I think we did a good job," she said.
