If you thought the Powerful Women Perform for Charity were 'cooking' before, then they're doing it for real now!

THE SISTERHOOD launched its first cookbook, Powerful Women Cuisine, on Thursday at the Devon House Grog Shoppe. It was a bevy of beauties who turned out to celebrate the achievement which sees the ladies showing their culinary skills. And, a powerful woman in her own right, Her Excellency the Most Hon. Rheima Hall endorsed the book in no uncertain terms.

She described the ladies as all dynamic go-getters who were role models for young women. She stated that putting the menus together was a difficult feat and raising money for the Mustard Seed communities in the process only made the effort even more commendable.

The group made special presentations to the graphic designers, photographer and sponsors of the book, most of whom were present. But this event was all about the feast and guests had the chance to sample some of the innovatively-named dishes including the Meow! Pussycat's Fishy Gungo, Verica's Chicken Mince with Vegetables and the Smooth and Sumptuous Coconut Cheesecake. The plans are already under way for the second volume.

Songbird Charmaine Limonious then provided entertainment as the sun descended and the lights illuminated the terrace.
