Asian Invasion
published: Thursday | August 10, 2006

Chef Mayuree Saicpth of Thailand with her Egg Soup at 'Taste of Asia Food Festival,' held at the Jamaica Pegasus hotel, Knutsford Boulevard, New Kingston on Tuesday, August 1. - photographer Winston Sill.

Asian chefs took over the Jamaica Pegasus last Monday and Tuesday at the 'Taste of Asia Food Festival'. For those two days, guests were treated to dishes prepared by authentic Asian chefs in a laid-back atmosphere. Some of the dishes, though Asian in origin, have been fully integrated into the Jamaican culinary rotation while others were gracing Jamaican plates for the first time. Enjoy this taste through the eyes of Gleaner.
