Host country Jamaica slumped to their second consecutive loss crashing to a 34 runs defeat to Trinidad and Tobago (T&T) as the West Indies Under-19 Women's Cricket tournament continued yesterday.

Meanwhile, Barbados made it two from two with a comfortable 77 runs win over the President's XI at Melbourne.

Jamaica, needing to score at 3.7 runs per over, could only muster a paltry 115 in 36.2 overs chasing 150 for victory.

Trinidad and Tobago batted first and were restricted to 149-4 in their 40 allotted overs with Devika Singh making 49 not out and Felicia Walters 26 not out. Abbey-Gaye Hendricks took 2-34.

In reply, Jamaica were skittled out for 115, as Jodi-Ann Morgan top scored with 26 and Stephanie Taylor got 22.

Alisa Mohammed grabbed 3-10 and Anisa Mohammed pocketed 2-16 to destroy the Jamaican batting.

While Jamaica remain rooted to the bottom of the table without a point, T&T moved to three points from two games.

Impressive knock

Over at Melbourne Oval Barbados, scoring at 5.54 runs per over, rattled up an impressive 218- 6, with Daniel Small cracking 80 not out and was ably supported by Deandra Dotting with 64.

Nickeisha Francis was the top bowler for the President's XI, capturing 2-30.

The President's XI, which is made up of local girls, struggled to 141-8 in their 40 overs. Nickeisha Francis top scored with 30 and Toni Greeves made 25. Bowling for Barbados, Kamillah Burke took 4-20.

Barbados maintained their 100 per cent record to lead the table on six points.
