FirstCaribbean to roll out first remote ABM at Ironshore

FirstCaribbean International Bank (FCIB) Jamaica Limited has announced the roll-out of its first remote automated banking machine, saying it will be sited at the Esso Service Station at Ironshore, an upscale dormitory community in Montego Bay.

FCIB is to roll out 12 remote ABMs within 6-9 months.

Range of activity

Ironshore was selected as the first site, the bank said in a press release, because of pending and ongoing tourism developments there, its range of commercial activity, an affluent population, fast growing population."

"We have a model for ABM and branch site selection, which uses a number of economic and demographic variables as inputs," said FCIB managing director Milton Brady. "The Ironshore area scored well..." he said.
