It's that time of the year again when we present the beauties. Today we present ...

1. How do you feel about Jamaica's performance in pageants over the years?

"I think our past Miss Jamaica Worlds have represented us very well. The country has gained a lot of exposure and lots of doors have been opened as far as tourism is concerned, and individuall the overall response has been wonderful."

2. Do you think beauty pageants are still relevant and why?

"Yes I do. They are very relevant, it has helped a lot of young ladies to really get to know themselves and know what they are capable of doing. It has build their confidence level. It has basically given them the boldness to go out there and do what they are capable of doing and becoming what they want to be.

3. What in your opinion is your best quality?

"My positive attitude. I look at life as this big set of doors, where you can walk through any door and anything is possible as long as you put your mind to it."

4. How does this competition fit into your plans for the future?

"In the future, I hope to become a very successful entertainer. It has improved my stage performance; I have met a lot of people and for the talent competition, I did an original song and the response has been great and has given me the confidence to go out there and do what I know I can."

5. Which of the mini-competitions do you stand the best chance of winning?

"I would have to say talent. I sang an original song and the response has been great, they loved it."

6. Name three must-haves

"Music, because it is a language that knows no boundary, it is something that everybody under-stands and if that is the way that I can express myself and know that I am understood then it is a must-have. My family, I cannot do without them, I am my best self around my family. And oppor-tunity, I should always have opportunities and choices.

7. Why should you win the title of Miss Jamaica World 2006?

"Because I represent the average Jamaican girl and as Miss Jamaica World I will have the opportunity to work in areas I am passionate about, such as the diminished role of the church, home and school in the development of our country."
