Travelling the bad roads down south

The Editor, Sir: On Saturday, August 19, 2006, I drove from Lucea in Hanover to Y.S. Falls in St. Elizabeth and was shocked and appalled at the condition of the road. Not only were there numerous potholes, but in some places there were craters.


'Continuance of an incumbent government'

The Editor, Sir: The issue of Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller being only in office for nearly four months is immaterial to judging the PNP as a political party over the last 17 years.


Non-taxpayers getting homes

The Editor, Sir: I totally support the building of proper homes for the residents of the inner city, and would like for the courtesy to be extended to the rural areas also. But my problem is, a number of these residents have not consistently paid...


Nothing wrong with helping the poor

The Editor, Sir: Why do most Jamaicans only think of themselves? The NHT was designed to help low-income workers achieve a roof over their head. What is the difference in using the trust money to build roofs over the head of inner-city people?
