Portmore Exposed today
published: Saturday | August 26, 2006

Today, the Sunshine City of Portmore, St. Catherine, will be inundated by dozens of photographers participating in Portmore Exposed, sponsored by the Gleaner Company Ltd., and Kodak Express. For 24 hours on Saturday, between 12:01 a.m and midnight, Portmore will be focused on through the lens of shutterbugs of all levels of proficiency, from the enthusiastic amateur to the hardcore professional.

The area under the lens is bounded as follows:

East - The St. Catherine/St. Andrew parish boundary on the Portmore toll road.

North - The roundabout where the Dyke Road and Spanish Town sections of the toll road meets.

West - The outskirts of Greater Portmore heading towards Bernard Lodge.

South - Hellshire.

Photographers will be based at Casa Blanca hotel, 2-4 Port Henderson Road. They will be competing for cash prizes in the categories of:

Best Human Interest

Best Nature Study

Best News

Best Business

Kodak Express is the main sponsor.
