Jamaica's most eligible part 1
published: Monday | August 28, 2006

( L - R ) Mark Shields and Courtney Walsh

Flair went in search and found 30 of the most eligible in Jamaica. These have it all: drop-dead good looks, financial security (or potential for it), great career prospects, solid family background, excellent social profiles and in many cases, a social conscience. Some have significant others but are still single. So it's never too late.

Forget about hue of skin or ethnicity because our motto states: "Out of Many One People." So ladies, look beyond the obvious. Love conquers all. Check out page 10 for hints on where to find some of our prime catches but look carefully at the requirements these men have laid out.

You may have eyes for NCB Chairman Mike Lee-Chin, but there are three more brothers in his family.

DCP Mark Shields is a dream boat with his tall handsome looks and charming manner, but his eyes are on his "designing" woman.

Perhaps you are turned on by power and fame. Cricket great Courtney Walsh is still hanging on to bachelorhood, do you have what it takes to bowl him over for a change?

Hotelier Gordon "Butch" Stewart is divorced but occupied - but his son Adam Stewart made our list.

And if real power turns you on, star-maker/business tycoon Chris Blackwell has some international heavyweight connections and is now widowed.

Then there is that dreamy Junior Gong. What better credentials to take home to mother than the Marley name?

On the business scene, auto dealer/sports enthusiast Dwight Moore seems bent on hanging on to his bachelor status.

Some lucky lady could find the formula to take him for the ride of his life.

Kimani Robinson could, in the near future, have enough free time on his hands to be all yours.

Manpower Maintenance's COO, Garth Hinchcliffe, is poised to carry on the family business. He's tall, dark and handsome too. So, next time you think there's a man shortage, just check out this edition!

Ladies, in Jamaica we say parson christen him pickney first, so from North Street, we bring you our own hot hunk. You read his witty rovings every Thursday but there's more to this scribe than meets the newsprint. This week, you don't have to wait until Thursday. Here is the first of our 30 most eligible bachelors.
