Now it came to pass that the administration and the rank and file locked horns over the issue of adequate compensation for the peace officers, and Jamdown was once again staring in the face of a tremor on the industrial front.

Hear O Jamdown, for it is written that if thou want a job to be done by monkeys, then thou shouldst offer peanuts as salary. But, be ye not dismayed for this saying is not a verbal disparage of the brethren of the constabulary, for they already art treated to a shameful portion of disdain by the deputy to the keeper of the threadbag, an ill-natured apparition who hath swathed a path of indifference through the critical branches of the public sector, leaving disgruntled nurses and teachers in his wake, for he hath no inkling of the win-win concept of negotiating.

Dearly beloved, often 'tis those issues that art straight-forward in nature that elude this comrade administration; yea, they somehow manage to make a hash of every elementary event that comes out of their jurisdiction, and invariably they art arrogant and condescending in the process. Behold, in the making of the initial MoU, the trade union confederation succumbed to their silver tongue then together they proceeded to tag-team the rank and file and coerced them into holding financial strain for two years e'en though circumstances defined by the legislative implications of the JCF Act as it relates to industrial actions, if not simple rationale, dictates that special consideration ought to be applied to wage negotiations for the peace officers.

People first

Behold, they who declare with bravado that they put the people first art first to put the people to the sword and so it is with the public sector in this day. For the second MoU hath now been consummated by the parties with whom it found favour but woe be to the public service associations who opted out of the process, for they hath doomed their members to vehement dogfights with the ministry of the threadbag and its lead negotiator is baring tooth and nail with impunity, is void of compassion and giveth no quarter.

Verily, this whole spectacle demonstrates the kind of delinquency that enforces a continuous crippling of this society, for after 17 years of sloppy governance this current administration is yet to devise a credible system of compensation that protects its employees from having to engage in strong-armed industrial tactics to secure the means to their financial viability.
