TRUE LOVE
published: Monday | October 2, 2006

Left: Jermaine and Patricia Jeffers.   Right: André Alexander Blake, former Air Jamaica pilot currently flying with Air Canada, caught up with his lovebird in flight, Lisa Marie Ann Acevedo, pilot of Air Jamaica. Both took their flight to a safe landing on Saturday, August 19, at the elegantly beautiful, Strawberry Hills in Irish Town, St. Andrew. The wedding that was officiated by Silvera Castro, had guests from Canada, England and the United States of America. Both parents of the bride and groom were in attendance and shared in the gorgeous affair of the more than 100 guests. - Contributed

Four years ago at a training seminar in Kingston, Patricia Ennis and Jermaine Jeffers met and the chemistry between them was undeniable. However, Jeffers lived in Canada and had to return after a few months, while Patricia remained in Jamaica. They continued communicating via email and calls. They eventually lost their initial connection and stopped communication for a couple of years until Patricia attempted to rekindle their relationship via email near the end of 2004.

Jeffers, surprised and happy to hear from her, gave her a call. That would start a beautiful romance between them that would help to cultivate a love forever true. Jeffers proposed on May 31 - two days after her birthday. They got married on August 6 at Eden Gardens in the presence of their immediate family and close friends. The ceremony was officiated by Silvera Castro O.D. J.P.

They will come back

Their story supports the saying: 'If you love someone let them go; if the love was true, they will come back to you.'

Jeffers says his wife is very loving, caring and an excellent listener, smart, funny and spiritual; a very beautiful person inside and out. "There is no one sweeter than 'Sweet P' for me. A natural queen."

Ennis thinks her 'Mainy' is very intelligent, loving, thoughtful and understanding. "I love his million-dollar smile, great sense of humour and beautiful brown eyes. He's a very supportive and highly-motivated person who constantly reminds me of his love and I feel blessed to share my life with him."
