LONDON, England:
London Fashion Weekend kicked into high gear on Thursday, September 28, on the lawns of the Natural History Museum, Cromwell Road, London.
From as early as 5:30 p.m. queues of patrons snaked around the road outside the giant air-conditioned tents. Outfits were dominated by the latest leggings under layers of skirts, shrugs and slip tops or simple dresses in varying lengths. These, however did not compete with the over 100 designers who had their collection from last week's show on sale at cut-rate prices.
There were live runway shows too featuring the latest trends in hair by Toni&Guy; fashion and beauty advice directly from Elizabeth Arden master classes, plus tips from Eve Magazine on the catwalk. Flair will bring you details of these in upcoming issues.
New look
The aim of the event is to showcase the look for Autumn/Winter as well as offer fantastic shopping. Those attending also had the opportunity to win the hottest perfume, Prada handbags, makeovers, facials, and free Moet, Champagne - the official Champagne to London Fashion Week - from the official sponsor's bar.
Other sponsors were Campari with complimentary cocktails, The Skinny Cow ice cream, Canon - the official camera for the event with their latest accessories and Philips, the official garment care partner to London Fashion Week. They offered free advice on the care of the clothing bought at the fashion week sale.
