Marley wigs for babies!
published: Wednesday | October 18, 2006

A dreadlocked baby? Perhaps not the kind of thing you see every day, or would want to see for that matter.

But reggae fanatics in the United States are lining up to get the Bob Marley look for their tots as young as nine months old.

A fashion faux paux to be sure, but don't tell that to the doting mothers who have been lining up to get Bob Marley wigs for their children.

The locks are attached to red, green and gold hats, made specifically to fit a baby's tiny head. The company that sells the wigs is called BabyToupee and business so far has been booming.

But if the Bob Marley look is not your thing, then why not have your infant dolled up to look like ex-convict rapper Lil Kim? That's available also. You can get pink, blonde or even red wigs to copy the rapper's style.

The cost for the wigs works out to just about J$250.
