Partying hell set to break loose
published: Friday | October 27, 2006

Chester Francis-Jackson, Contributor

My dears, its only the biggest, and hottest party of the season, but rather it is where the party people do gather at various times of the year to make merry and live the life of which the pagans at the heights of their revelry, would have been very hard-pressed to equal!

Now, this weekend being the eve of Halloween, all partying hell is set to break loose, combining the Halloween celebrations and the founding of one of the greatest institutions dedicated to the celebration of life.

This weekend, it's all about Negril and Hedonism II as the fabulous resort is not only in the throes of its 25th anniversary celebrations, but will be throwing the greatest Halloween party this side of the world!

If y'all have not yet made and confirmed your booking, for one of the greatest weeklong parties ever staged anywhere in the world, then pity yourselves as y'all will be missing one of the hottest parties ever. Not only is the resort fully and overbooked, but in order not to miss this shindig, those wishing to attend Tuesday's Halloween celebrations and Wednesday's anniversary smasheroni, are now booking into neighbouring properties!

And speaking of fabulous parting and parties, if y'all missed last Saturday night's fashionable shindig hosted by Kingsley Cooper at his Trafalgar Bay, poolside Pulse penthouse, then y'all missed one hot mama!

Standards

There's nothing like a Pulse party to get the social juices of the chic, the fab and the 'in'-crowd, buzzing as in its decades of being premier hosts, Pulse and Kingsley Cooper have not only created an enviable reputation for hotness of the fabulous kind, they have created the standards by which other shindigs are judged. Who can hold a candle to the Pulse party machine!

Hosted to celebrate the success of its Cable and Wireless sponsored b/Mobile Caribbean Model Search, as well as to welcome the finalists from the region for the show's finale, y'all know that with a bevy of regional beauties in the house, the place would be pumping!

Ah, young ladies with attitudes, and bodies to match; buffed hunks on the prowl; modelling hopefuls; the hot and ultra-hot and, of course, the Pulse modelling wonders of the world of fashion, all grooving to some absolutely fabulous music, while imbibing the libation of the affaire - Absolut Vodka topped up with Red Bull. Children, it made an already pumping party, all that and then some as indeed, here the emphasis was on having a good time so guests checked their egos at the door!

The night was short on ceremony but packed with thrills as there was a brief interlude for the introduction of the finalists model search and the commendation of sponsors and then it was right back into the music and the partying!

Among those spotted out sharing in the vibes and or just whooping it up in grand partying style, were: Cable and Wireless president Rodney Davis and his fab wife Nadja Davis; C&W's Regional VP Arthur Phidd; C & W's VPs mobile service David Reavely, and marketing Stephan Lecuyer; Ambassador of the Dominican Republic HE Filomena Navarro and her daughter Aurora Navarro; EU delegation First Secretary Felice Zaccheo; Honorary Consul of Lithuania, artist and businesswoman Lois Sherwood; the tres elegant Hilary Phillips, QC; Geoffrey Messado; Roberta Rizza; Paul Hanworth;Mitzie Pratt; Alex Issa; Jacquie Tyson, getting her groove on; CVM TV's Winford Williams; the fabulous Carla Campbell; Serchen Morris, looking his Metro self; Miss Hotniss, Nadine Willis; the Male Models model, Oraine Barrett and Dahlia James; Pulse hot, new international discovery Jeneil Williams; Leigh Millard-Bennett; Eddie Channer; Cindy Wright of MJU; Devon Reid and Tom Tyler of Caribbean Producers, who kept the party spirits flowing; the fabulous Tracey Moses; the oh so fab Valerie Smith; the charmingly lovely Christine Moore; Megan Murray of Melyse Fashion, located over there in the Pulse Complex; Ngozi Omambala, in from London; the stunning Shevolee Bell; Santana Taylor; Shashana Gray; Esther Beckford; Danielle Lowe; Floyd LaTouch; Shanell Douglas; Sara Jones in from Antigua; and the lovely Crystal McLawrence, in from Grenada; the stunning Amy Brown in from St. Lucia; plus several scores others.

Birthday wishes

Best of wishes to premier socialite Jennifer Lim, world famous beauty, Cindy Breakspeare and the gorgeous Leana Tomlinson, who all celebrated their birthday on Tuesday of this week. Meanwhile Dr. Robert Chen of the illustrious Chen family of Mandeville, celebrated his yesterday, and parties there were a-plenty from New York to Mandeville as Lim spent her day just soaking up the Big Apple.

And speaking of the Big Apple, the buzz from the American Friends of Jamaica banquet and gala hosted in New York last weekend honouring the iconic icon, Chris Blackwell, was a social Tenner, with Prime Minister Portia Simpson-Miller, stealing the show with her address. The buzz here is the Prime Minister, was not only in fine mettle, she was at her eloquent best in both form and substance, and how! Suffice it to say she was all that!
