Snow, the new beverage on the market. - Photo by Shelly-Ann Thompson
There is a new drink on the market and it has an unusual name: Snow. Food put some expert palates to the test and these are the results.
1. Snow is awful, tastes like diluted mouthwash. I would not buy it.
2. It's horrible!
3. Snow tastes similar to the mouthwash that I am given when I visit the dentist. It also has the taste of an antacid.
4. Tastes like something for upset stomach. I certainly would not buy it. The label is very hard to read.
5. Reminds me of cream soda but with less flavour.
6. It tastes like a carbonated toothpaste drink. I have never had a minty soda before.
7. The after-taste is another matter. I have the taste of toothpaste in my mouth but in the back of my head it's like I just had a soda.
8. It tastes like some medicated drink. Hope it's the cure for something.
9. It tastes like a diet drink.
10. Refreshing, a minty taste, not sweet. I like it.
11. At first taste, the drink has a refreshing minty flavour but when swallowed, it has a horrible taste like medicine. Tastes also like a diet drink.
12. Has a medicinal taste, very mild.
13. Tastes low in sugar and acid with a combination of Sprite/Viva Water.
14. Tastes like a combination of watered-down mouthwash and peppermint toothpaste.
15. Don't like the taste. It's like a mixture of mouthwash and toothpaste with acid added.
16. It fails to tickle my fancy. It lacks a commanding punch. It smells like an antacid I take when I have upset stomach. I wouldn't reach for it on the shelves.
17. This is something I'd drink on a hot day. I like it.
18. Has a very clean taste of fresh mint leaves. I quite like it. It might taste nice with vodka.
First of all, it smells like Wrigley's. Second, it tastes like when you have toothpaste in your mouth and you take water in just a second before you spit everything out. That's it!
This cannot go on the market. Back to the drawing board!
