Wrong statement, Dr. Taylor
published: Sunday | November 12, 2006

The Editor, Sir:

I note that Dr. Orville Taylor incorrectly stated last Sunday (November 5) that I said there should be no special place in Parliament for the media.

I said no such thing in my speech. The media currently has it own special space in Gordon House.

My point was that there should be no diminution of the space for members of the public. He can disagree with that if he likes but it is incorrect to say that I said there should be no special space for the press.

I am, etc.,

LAMBERT BROWN

President

University and Allied Workers' Union
